How to Nominate

(Imports)

Importing your goods from a foreign country and need cost and planning convenience? Nominate NICT Through Bill of Lading(TBL).

TBL Documentation

Copy of Through Bill of Lading (TBL) from load port indicating that the cargo is destined for clearance at “Nairobi Inland Cargo Terminal (NICT)” via Inland Container Depot Nairobi (ICDN).

Notify Shipping Line(s)

Notification to the shipping line(s) advise them to manifest as follows: “CARGO IN TRANSIT TO Nairobi Inland Cargo Terminal (NICT)”.
Copy NICT for ease of tracking and documentation.

NICT Team Action

Once NICT is BL manifested, our port teams (both in Nairobi & Mombasa) work round the clock to ensure efficient container(s) transfer from container discharge at the port of Mombasa via Inland Container Depot Nairobi (ICDN) to NICT – facilitated by dedicated stacking zones both at RMG and Inland Container Depot Nairobi (ICDN).

Endorsed Letter of Intent(LOI)s

For containers already at Inland Container Depot Nairobi (ICDN)/ Mombasa Port, all we need is an endorsed Letter of Intent(LOI) on clients letterhead to process the transfer to Nairobi Inland Cargo Terminal (NICT) and offer our clients the 21 free days of storage.
